Lust, an emotion for which age is never a barrier, but what happens when it is uncontrollable, Varathan takes you for a ride where the craving outbreaks the morality of society.
Fahadh Faasil😎 - As usual brilliant performance, especially the transformation from naive, innocent guy to a desperate vengeance seeking husband and once again excellent script selection which makes his movies always stand out👏👏👏
Aishwarya Lekshmi😍 - The bold n bueaty of malayalam industry, back to back good characters going through her golden period in career, handled emotional sequences pretty well making audience empathise for the character, resembles Rima Kallingal at some places👌👌👌
Sharafudheen🙄 - An absolute blinder performance, a fresh look n feel breaking his comedian image. Utilised the space given perfectly and indeed a career best performance👍👍👍
Dileesh pothan🤣 - that typical village guy who is a distant relative as well as manager for the house, a decent performance breaking out laughter with his one liners😅😅😅
The supporting characters🤩🤩🤩, even though we have seen most of them only in serials, they did a great job, each one was a perfect fit to the character and had given their best👏👏👏
Especially the short guy Vijilesh🙏, who is the pick of ensemble💪🏼, his expressions were next level, high chance he may get beaten up if found alone in public😂😂😂
Director Amal Neerad🤩- a comeback for him , completely new approach, not a single frame felt staged, everything was organic as such happening in a village making it a perfect execution of the script. Even though the pace of first half tested the patience of few people, the slowness is the bueaty of such films and taken care of it well giving goosebumps throughout climax🤟✌😘
Story Suhas & Sharfu🤘 - An other wise taboo topic brought in courageously, which is a sensitive and relevant topic in the present day society. Characterisation was superb and brilliantly scripted registering the exact emotions of characters in audience mind. Nothing is force fit, the story itself demanded humour,song, action in respective places. The slow build up and the final blast worked out well in theatre👌👌👌
Music Sushin Shyam 😎- A decent album, but BGM was one hell of a shot especially towards climax, the EDMs, hook tunes, interludes, just made the audience go berserk elevating the mood of climax to next level.
Cinematography Littil Swayamp🤓 - Only in the name 'little' is there, every single frame was great, the filters, lighting, drone shots, no words simply superb giving a visual treat and proven once again that cinematography will never disappoint you in an Amal Neerad movie😍😍😍
Editing, DI, Sound Design & Mixing, Art, Stunts, Choreography and all other dept were mind blowing giving a quality product for the given budget, especially Costumes, which was so fresh, cool and appealing👏👏👏
Positives 👍: Performance of Cast, Dialogues, Cinematography, BGM, Native feel and its authenticity in script,Proper character sketch, Climax action sequence
Negatives 👎: Slow pace of first half(for certain category audience), Fahadh's bossy facial expression at climax fight which was not a trait of that character till that moment
Succinctly, a different genre movie packaged as an all class entertainer conveying a pertinant social issue which might seem simple but definitely not its repercussions☺☺☺
