Thala fans were anxious, infact disappointed when Satya jyothi films announced "Ajith - Siva" project again for the 4th time,Vivegam didn't yield the expected result, release date delayed, clash with "Petta", nothing going on their way,but when they saw their hero on screen after 1.5 years, that's it, bliss🤩🤩🤩
Ajith😎 - Thala is one kind of actor who enjoys a fan base like, even if he takes a break of 5 years and comes back, fans will be having that same eager, craze & enthusiasm. Just his charm & smile, infact his presence itself is enough for them🤗🤗🤗
Ajith did a decent job playing two different shades, infact he is the back bone of the movie, as usual in his movies, he will be present throughout the movie and entire story revolves around him, found a fresh appeal in his acting,he had put in an extra effort for romance, action & humour, but its the sentiments, the core of the movie and Ajith handled it well. From Madurai slang to kuthu dance, he did everything to rejuvenate his fans👌👌👌
Nayanthara😘 - As the movie revolves around family drama, Lady superstar is given an equal screen space & with her adorable screen presence, did justice to the role, the emotional scenes at hospital, chemistry with ajith n daughter,choice of costumes everything was cool & appealing😍😍😍
Anikha👏 - After "Yennai Arinthal", once again as Ajith's daughter did a good job, this time even more sentimental. The already worked out chemistry between both helped in creating a magic, especially during "Kannane Kanney" song🤟🤟🤟
Thambi Ramaiah🤣 & Robo shankar😂 - Even though entire village is filled with Ajith's relatives and in every frame 100 people appears, these two are his best buddies and did a fair job in creating build ups & supporting/praising ajith😜😜😜
Yogi babu😓 - Felt like a filler in the movie, a small character but humour didn't worked out well😔😔😔
Vivek✌& Kovai Sarala😅 - A bit clichéd & exaggerated, but thats their style of humuor and worked out well in the movie, a nice breather between serious emotions💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Jagapathi Babu😕 - Again a rich villian😬Interval scene reminded of Bairava movie😝, not a well written character but a different approach, he delivered what's expected from him😌😌😌
Villian's daughter, Ajith's relatives & friends and other supporting cast too, did a fair job👏👏👏
Director Siva🤓 - After Vivegam, this was kind of do or die situation for him, he handled the pressure well, didn't tried anything different, took a simple family melodrama and executed it well, a bit exaggerated & over sentimental at many places, but didn't felt bored anywhere, Humour, Mass, Sentiments screen play was racy and engaging with a good message and heart touching scenes🤝🤝🤝
At the same time, can't ignore the fact that movie resembled both Veeram(first half) & Vedalam (second half) 😝😝😝
Music Imman🤘- Songs were ok, but the placement looked awkward. BGM was scintillating elevating mass scenes & Kannane Kanney track was outstanding, beautifully picturised and soothingly rendered by Sid Sriram😇😇😇
DOP Vetri🧐 - A commendable job capturing the rustic beauty of the village and some classic iconic shots handling the emotions & mass. Eventhough every frame is crowded in first half, the focus n mass for ajith is distinctive, second half felt too colorful, but for a commercial entertainer these flaws can be neglected🙃🙃🙃
Editing Ruben👉 - Did a great work, cuts for the introduction shot was really nice, slow motion at mass scenes and action sequences, everything pucca for a commercial movie🙂🙂🙂
Costumes, Choreography, VFX, Art and every other dept did a decent job bringing up a festive family entertainer👏👏👏
Positives 👍: Thala Ajith, Nayanthara, Anikha, Family sentiments, Dialogues, Cinematography
Negatives 👎: Clichéd story line, may not be engaging for all kind of audience
Overall, Siva survives once again and keeps up the trust "Viswasam" Thala kept on him, go & watch with your family, a one time watch festive family roller-coaster👍
