The success combo Murugadoss & Vijay after two block busters joining hands, shattered all the industry records before release itself creating a humongous expectation - even though not so convincingly the team did pull off a hatrick blockbuster🤗🤗🤗
Thalapathy Vijay😎 - Don't know what is his mojo, how a man @ 40's is looking damn stylish n sexy and not just in charisma, the whole energy level in dance, stunts everything is mind blowing. He managed to carry out that uber cool bad ass character of the CEO, a corporate criminal in his swag but struggled at emotional scenes for perfection - overall the anchor of the movie💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Varalakshmi👌- A dream come true role for her, an amazing job infact the show stealer, a perfect choice for the role - body language and costumes were so good for the character😍😍😍
Keerthy Suresh😘 - As a love interest for Vijay, she did justice to her role with her cute n funny expressions but other than songs there is no much scope for her in the story - dance is improved😝😝😝
Radha Ravi🙏 - Another good performance as a politician, its like mandatory now, a political movie will not be there without him, his name and characterisation was unique and with his experience, he did it easily ✌✌✌
Pala.Karuppayaih🙏- As CM, a good selection from director - great performance, the mannerisms, dialogue delivery everything was so natural and the sarcastic one liners about politicians also worked well😅😅😅
Yogi babu😓 - Didn't utilised him at all, infact not at all needed for the movie, even though he comes on few scenes he never missed to make everyone laugh🤟🤟🤟
Director ARM🤔 - A brilliant director, screenplay specialist, master at story selection - but last few films failed to match that graph and to be honest Sarkar also with the allegation & al failed to impress his fans. Along with Jeyamohan's powerful dialogues ARM just had a narrow escape this time - it's high time to concentrate more on his strong area - screen play
Sarkar unlike his previous works makes audience feel that only in movies such things will happen, cinematic liberty is over utilised and since the movie is a political satire - some clichés you can't avoid but we have seen it so many times in movies like Muthalvan, Bharat anu nenu. Sarkar failed to give a stand alone approach☺☺☺
Music ARR🤩 - Album had a mixed response, but as usual bgm was extra ordinary especially top tucker bgm at fight scenes elevated the mass level, such a powerful lyrics from lyricist #Vivek👍. 2 songs were not at al needed but kept as a mandatory melody n fast number to fit in the template, even though the lyrics, choreo was great their placement at story makes it unenjoyable😓😓😓
Cinematography Girish Gangadharan👍 - All the frames looked stylish & cool, especially the fight sequences n songs - visuals were mesmerising🤘🤘🤘
Editor Sreekar Prasad💥 - Slow mo shots were awesome, the cuts at fight sequence really made audience berserk👌👌👌
Stunts Ram Lakshman🤓 - Most demanding twin brothers at telugu industry, first time in Tamil, stunts were a bit exaggerated but was really a visual treat to watch. The blend of Vijay's body language, camera and editing peppered by ARR mass bgm really worked out well🤩🤩🤩
Art dept, Choreography, Costumes, VFX and all other dept a decent job making the over all visual experience better👏👏👏
The movie will definitely be a commercial hit because of the mass masala elements and uncomparable marketing strategy of Sun pictures but the slow pace of second half screenplay did test the patience of audience, important social message was there but the packaging was not well enough to make it organic😉😉😉
Positives 👍: Thalapathy Swag, Varu's performance, Powerful dialogues, Stunts, BGM, good social mesage, Marana Mass scenes, Oru viral puraktchi song, Gutsy political scenes
Negatives 👎: Slow paced second half, No big bang at climax, predictable format of story, force fit songs & stunts, less "wow" factors
Succintly, Sarkar is not a pucca Diwali entertainer for all genre audience as expected from Vijay - this is much of a social awareness movie.
Anyways this movie will be a milestone in Vijay's career but not in Acting😉😝😜
