Everyone had their eyebrows frown, when Thala accepted 'Pink' remake with director H. Vinoth especially after the success of a commercial pot boiler Viswasam, at the same time received laud for choosing a bold content based movie and Yes! the team succeeded in establishing the fact, when a girl says "No", that means "No" 👏👏👏
Thala😎 - Even fans needed a change from Ajith-Shiva combo and they were at cloud nine when Ajith nodded head to Vinoth, but its a slow paced court room drama with no jaw dropping actions or punch lines (in original version) , but still this man could entertain his fans with his Swag and baritone voice, it doesn't matter anymore whether he dye his hair or lose weight, his presence itself is a bliss for fans❤❤❤
Shraddha Srinath🥰 - A very difficult task to replicate what 'Tapsee' had done in the original version, but delivered her best in portraying the bold and beautiful character, the pain and emotions were well registered in the court room interrogation scenes👌👌👌
Abhirami & Andrea✌- Along with Shraddha, they made a beautiful trio and really felt like an independent working women's gang, did complete justice to their role🤟🤟🤟
Rangaraj Pandey😜 - A dream debut to him that too opposing Ajith😎, did it as needed for the character but at some portions felt a bit dramatic as he got carried away😬😬😬
Vidya Balan😍 - A perfect partner for Ajith and the chemistry also fine, but didn't give the desired impact as the entire flashback episode felt artificial and even if that portion is taken apart, it wouldn't make any difference to the movie🤗🤗🤗
The 4 villian boys, JP, Delhi Ganesh and the entire ensemble did a great job in registering the emotions even though the story plot is a bit sophisticated and alien to the current South society👏👏👏
Director H.Vionth💪🏼 - After the success of 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru', everyone was so excited to watch his collaboration with Thala, but the remake of Pink did reduced that expectation to be honest as it won't be a commercial movie
But sincere thanks to Vinoth for not killing the soul of the movie, at same time can't complain him for adding those extra 30 min which was not there in Hindi version, some compromise had to be done to make it receive well in the South Indian market as a huge mass hero is present, but Ajith is that kind of actor who will still accept the story even if the interval block action sequence is not there,that 20 min is a treat for the fans but might not go well with all category of audience because its again that template slow mo walks and cliché mass scenes
May be the team would had thought since the second half and the entire flow of story is a bit slow, the only high points will be the interval block action sequence apart from some sharp dialogues in the court room, Second half felt a bit shaky but overall a decent remake from Vinoth👍👍👍
Music Yuvan Shankar Raja😘 - the one guy who always gives his best when he teams up with Thala❤, there isn't any big scope for songs, but did his best in the RR, the court room mood was very well set with the bgm, also the fight theme, one hell of a music along with the visuals and Thala's screen presence🔥🔥🔥
Camera Nirav Shah👌 - Did a cool work according to the budget, the frames were good, also the lightings and locations, everything felt raw and real, almost similar to original version🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Editing, Costumes, Action, Choreography, VFX, DI and all other dept did a decent job providing a quality output🤝🤝🤝
Positives 👍: Delivering the message of movie, Ajith's screen presence and swag, Dialogues(even though exact translation of hindi version), Performance of the cast
Negatives 👎: Slow pace of screen play, Action sequence could have been trimmed, Flashback lacked desired impact
Overall, a good content based movie from Ajith Kumar after a long time and if you are ok with slow dialogue driven movies , a good watch for adults and teens, just go and watch your #Singappenn🥳🥳🥳
